The Bold Tortoise asked:

I’ve heard that XBOX just announced they’re going to offer the BLURAY player like they did the HD DVD player.

Jon H asked:

i have a xbox 360 and the highest resoultion it can go is 1080i. and i also get local channels in 1080i HD. would i still be able to player blu ray discs on it?

GoGolfGo asked:

Ok, I know that not all blu-ray players are created equal. So what should I be looking for in a blu-ray player? How much should I expect to spend? I already have an XBox 360 so is it better to get a PS3 or get a blu-ray player?
Just wanted to clarify that I am not interested in getting a PS3 for gaming but would consider it if performs better than Blu-ray players in the same price range.

andrew johansen asked:

So with this war of Blue Ray vs HD DVD going on, i was curious, is Blue Ray all that’s its actually hyped up to be?

From what I’ve heard, it seems like the only thing better than HD DVD is that its holds more space on the discs.
E.x. Blu Ray disk hold about 50 GB and HD DVD can hold about 30 GB

Now some PS3 owners have stated the Blu Ray has better picture than HD DVD, but i don’t believe that is true. I think its just a gimmick put out by Sony to get more sales of PS3s out into the world because their sales are behind that of the Wii and Xbox 360.

Is it true that Blu Ray actually does have better picture or does it solely depend on what type of T.V. you have and how it is set up properly? Or is it only that it has more disc space?

I was watching Full Metal Jacket today in HD and I was wondering how the old movies are converted into such beautiful picture quality.

I was wondering the same thing when I was watching Bruce Lee’s “Enter The Dragon”

Does anyone have any clue how this works?

***By the way, the Xbox 360 HD-DVD player looks beautiful.
