I’m looking to upgrade to a new bluray player for my 1080p HD LCD TV. I’m not looking to spend more than $500, so what is the best place to go to research Bluray?

Overprotective Mom asked:

If I buy a PS3 but I still have an antenna tv with a converter box, could I use the bluray on the ps3?

James asked:

I have the Logitech Z-5500 surround sound system. It comes with Dolby Digital, and DTS 96/24. But if I were to buy a Bluray player with DTS-HD, does my surround sound system have to support DTS-HD also for it to be able to output it?

Oh and the Bluray player would be connected via Optical cable to my surround sound system.

anonlinux asked:

I know that most blu-ray players will upscale a standard definition dvd to fit and view well on a high definition TV but how is this done? I’ve viewed several standard definition dvd’s on my PS3 and while I know they’re not being displayed in true hd and just upscaled they still look very very good.

adrizzle asked:

I’m just wonderin because i just got a nice hd t.v. and now i want a hd type player!
