    nope you can buy any player but just make sure that you buy a high quality HDMI cable, like a monster one

    They do not need to be the same brand to get the best quality. If you are into games I would just buy a PS3 to get its Blu-ray player. It’s probably cheaper than a 1080P Blu-ray player.

    no, only if they offers combo deals, normally you can get PS3 which plays game but offering built-in blu-ray player, so one bullet to kill 2 birds, and it much cheaper than a stand-a-lone blu-ray player

    No, but it will work better with ilink feature which will allow control of player with out line of sight so you can hide the player but be able to control it via tv. I would not recommend the samsung 1500 cause it looked terrible on the panasonic. The SONY 350 and the one they sell at costco and sams club are good. As for the PS3 is no longer the best for your money specially if you don’t even play games. Blu Ray player can be picked up for under 200 now which make it 1/2 the price of that of the ps3 and don’t forget that the ps3 does not stream audio so your limited on your surround sound. PS3 used way more power that that of a stander player and don’t forget the noise and heat it makes.
