No Contact O asked:

i go into fry’s and they are showing transporter 3 on demo and it looks like it is literally jumping off the screen on just that one setup, but the other videos all over the store (and my own bluray ps3 setup) dont have that same reach out and touch quality even though its running 1080 confirmed. is there a setting on my TV (sony wega 50 inch) or the ps3 i am not setting?

Because they want you to buy them, so they make them look hell good, but actually they’re not.

Is it running 1080p? Or 1080i? p is what they use in stores and is higher quality. i is essentially just a slightly better version of 720p, so there’s definitely a difference.

Because they have highest pixel resolution on their tvs, 1080X1920! (or 1940 i cant remember) If your tv is not he highest pixel resolution then the picture loses quality!

Because your Sony Wega is several years old, and would obviously not look as good as modern television sets.

Actually everyone who posted an answer is wrong. It has nothing to do with the 1080p signal, but it has to do with the 120Hertz refresh rating that they normally have the TV’s hooked up too !! Usually, most of our TVs at home are only 60Hertz as opposed to Best Buy !!! The refresh makes it look more clearer and life like quality !!
