I’ve read alot about proper viewing distances for viewing blu ray movies and HDTV. My viewing distance is way outside of the range. I have a 65″ RP CRT which is 1080i, and my viewing distance is about 16 feet away. Is buying a blu ray a player a waste of my money or should I invest in a good upconvert dvd player instead.

James Y asked:

I have a Mitsubishi 60″ dlp tv and I am in the market for a blu-ray player. Many of the reviews I am reading state that there is an audio handshake problem between certain blu-ray players and dlp tv’s when using an hdmi connection. Any suggestions?

Now that Blu-Ray won the Format War, how long till Apple decides to equip all Macs with Blu-Ray players. I hope it won’t too long.

I need a new Mac, for editing and SHlT, and don’t want to spend $3,000 on a 8-core processor W/DVD Drive , only too have Steve Jobs announce a 8-core processor W/Blu-Ray drive the next day.

avatar Lovin' Blu Rays, all day long. I am not actually in front of my screen all that much, butt... when I jones for some art or some comedy or some action or my other subscribed-to Verizon FIOS hi def feed, then Blu Ray is the higher defafriginition format for me. Thanks!
